Born 1 December 1978 in Switzerland to a family with a vineyard on the shores of Lake Geneva. I studied oenology at Changins (Switzerland’s Haute école de viticulture & oenologie), finishing in 2004. Before taking my degree, starting in 2002, I have been particularly interested in tasting and sensory analysis. Not surprisingly, my engineering thesis was on possible relationships between oenology and perfumery. This evolved into the main area of my professional activities today, after working on perfume creation for several years. Now most of my work, in many wine countries, involves consuting on wine making, training professionals in wine sensorial analysis and conferences. In addition to teaching sensory analysis at schools such as the ISVV in Bordeaux and Changins, I was lucky enough to be appointed Scientific secretary for the OIV (Organisation International Organisation for Vine and Wine) awards.
